Divine mother and baby supported accommodation is a subsidiary of Taking Positive Steps Foundation, a charity working throughout London that seeks to serve the Educational, social, developmental and Mental Health needs of young people.
The purpose of the Divine provision is to create a safe and nurturing environment where vulnerable expectant young women and young mothers aged 16-25 yrs can grow in confidence whilst they care for their child or unborn baby.
Our Services
Divine Mother and Baby (family) support accommodation works with all vulnerable young women who have been assessed as individuals who would benefit from living in a semi- independent
environment and receiving holistic support.
Support with parenting skills
Newborn babies do not come with an instruction manual, and you're bound to have lots of questions about their behaviour and appearance to begin with. As a new parent, you're bound to have questions on everything from getting started with breastfeeding, washing and bathing your baby and changing their nappy.
Our Home
Our accommodation is located in a morden terraced house in Croydon. This location enables residents to have access to good transport links across the region, supermarkets, health services. Our fully CCTV-home has three double bedrooms and a single bedroom, a communal bathrooms, and two toilets (one on each floor). Each bedroom is equipped with:

Our Aim
It’s our aim to help young women who are referred to Divine mother and baby support accommodation to develop confidence, independent skills, emotional resilience and secure attachment to their babies. Our mission is also to break the cycle of care.
Provide safe environment
Support to help build a foundation of social, emotional and financial resources for each young woman (family) and their baby to live independently, safely and happily.

Ensure all young women (family) are supported to achieve the five Every Child Matters outcome.
